about us
Dingač Association
which is an association of a larger number of Dingač producers.
The sun bathed slopes of Dingač are exclusively planted with the Plavac Mali cultivar. This red wine grape, is directly exposed to the sun and to the solar rays that reflect off the sea and from the surrounding rock as well. This in harmony with a beneficial streaming of specific currents of air draw from this grape an excellence which is the raw material for the wine known as the famous Dingač, the first Croatian wine protected by law.
All the social development and economic progress of this region is tightly entwined with the cultivation of the grapevine.

The Donkey
Trademark of the Dingač
The donkey was a loyal companion and helped in all the work connected to the supply of material, the maintenance of the vineyards as well as with the transport of the harvested grapes from Dingač to the owners' wine cellars.

Amiable, enduring and loyal to humans, this creature is the embodiment of determination, tenacity and perseverance. It is the symbol of their life strength, the symbol of the burden which the laborers endured throughout their lives. Therefore, it is by right that the donkey was depicted on the oldest labels of Dingač wine and it is also the trademark of the Dingač Co-operative farm.
